Our Story
Stars Arts, under the leadership of Suzanne Gayle Rose, is doing vital work in bringing the transformative power of art to underserved and at-risk communities. With her extensive background in public art programs, especially in mural painting and teaching, Suzanne has been a steadfast advocate for the arts in Hayward for over two decades. Through her collaborations with local nonprofits, the City of Hayward, and the Hayward Unified School District, she has helped to make art a vehicle for connection, healing, and community expression.
Suzanne’s own journey—facing personal crises and disability—has deeply influenced her mission. Stars Arts was born from her desire to support others going through similar challenges by providing a space where individuals can express themselves and tell their stories through art. By mentoring students and engaging local residents, Suzanne continues to bring creativity and hope to those who need it most, fostering resilience through public art and community involvement.
